Big Sister - Homework Checker

Cameron had some homework tonight - second day of school.

He had to read a small story with one of us, and we had to sign his reading book to say we've read the story with him.

As soon as the kids got home, though, Veronica read the book with him. So she decided to help out and initialled and dated the homework book for us! She even developed a carefully-crafted "VF" just for the occasion.

Thanks for the help Ron, but I think Mum or Dad are supposed to sign his homework book!

May-On-Ayz

For some reason our kids can't say mayonaise.

Previously it's been rendered as "M&Ms" and "money". Tonight, Renee asks for "lemonade" on her egg. What's next?

Brain Power!

Cameron's first day at school today!

So tonight at dinner we ask who is in his class. He rattles off a couple of names, then pauses, taps himself on the head and says, "Think, brain! Think!"

Later, Renee asks for more "money" on her dinner. Translation: "mayonnaise"!

We're still here!

Just thought I'd drop a quick post to say "We're all still here"... Just that the kids haven't said much lately that was worthy.

I'm sure that will change, though. Stay tuned...

Self imposed exile

Renee got cranky with Mum this morning and trotted of to her bedroom. A while later we heard a little voice:
"Can I come out of my room now?
Of course you can Renee - nobody sent you there!

Online games

Last night we found a few games online. At www.theincredibles.com you can play a few games based on the movie. We even found an old version of Pacman believe it or not!

So this morning Cameron jumps on the computer before we get up. He comes racing in to our bedroom and exclaims: "I found a new game at dot com spiderman dot com!"

Only out by a zero

Tonight during dinner, Veronica asks for some "hundred island dressing".

What's a zero between friends?

Summerhead? Hammersault?

In the pool this afternoon, Cameron asks me to give him a "hammerhead".

"A hammerhead?" I ask. I have no idea what that means.

Turns out he's asking for a summersault! (I have no idea how I managed to translate that!)

A big gentle throw

Cameron wants me to throw him in the pool.
"Give me a big throw. But gently.

Brekky Ingredients Pt 2

Cameron asks what milk is made from. So after explaining how cows eat grass and water, and then they turn that into milk, I decide I don't like milk anymore... Ech! But Cameron's response?
Ooooh - cool!

Brekky Ingredients Pt 1

Cameron declares:
Coco Pops are made out of pops. And coco.
