The last straw

Cameron decides there's something wrong with his drink today at lunch. "I think my straw's upside down," he announces.

And then a few seconds later he asks me, "Dad, does that drink make you burp? Is it a fuzzy drink?"

Stating the obvious

So tonight, I ask Veronica, "How was the fun run?"

She replies, "Ummm... Fun!"

The perils of running

The kids have a "fun run" at school today. (That's a bit of an oxymoron, but I digress.)

Veronica is making sure that I have everything organised - that I have a big bottle of water ready. In her words, "Because I get very thirsty after an inch of running!"

The benefits of strawberry jam

Veronica explained to me why Cameron likes strawberry jam:

"Cameron says strawberry jam makes him burp a lot, and burping is his favourite thing to do, so that's why he likes strawberry jam!"
