We've moved

Gonna post here in future - this is something I'd like to keep for the kids when they're older and so it's probably not wise to rely on free hosting. It's bound to vanish eventually.

Pay us a visit!

The Memory Mystery

Veronica: "Do computers have elephants in them?"
Me: "No, why?"
Veronica: "Well, how do they remember stuff?"

Sitting on the fence

Veronica at dinner tonight:
"Parsley is kinda yucky, but I still like it anyway."

Maybe it's time for a diet...

Tonight I announced to Renee that we would be having Hungry Jack's for dinner. Quite excited, she assured me that she would eat every last bit.
Me: "That way you'll grow up big and fat!"
Renee: "Yeah, like you!"

Thanks a lot!

The penny drops

Driving past Glenmore High School on the way to drop the kids of yesterday morning, and Veronica noticed a bridge that led into the main administration office. The school is built on the side of a slope, so the bridge starts at road height, but ends up connecting with the building at the first floor.

So Veronica asks why there's a bridge going from the road to the school building. I explain that that's so you can get up to the first floor, without having to climb stairs.

Veronica pauses to reflect on the explanation, and then exclaims, "So that's why they call it a high school!"

Double meanings

Veronica commented tonight that she grazed her foot today.

Cameron pipes up: "Veronica's foot ate some grass?!? Hahahahaha!"

Don't get it? You know, cows graze? Sheesh, I don't know where he gets this stuff from...

That winning feeling

Driving the kids to school this morning, a chant starts in the back seat. "We're winning, we're winning..." They are looking at all the cars out the back window.

"No we're not," I correct them, "Look at all the cars in front of us."

Cameron pipes up, "Yeah, but we're beating all the cars behind us!"

With kids, the glass is never half-empty...
